ITANAGAR, Jul 11: A ‘rare’ talent of Arunachal Pradesh, shuttler Laa Talar has, once again, made the state proud by bagging bronze medal in the All India major junior ranking tournament which was held at Ernakulam in Kerala from July 2 to 7 last.

Talar, seeded 5 in the U-19 tournament, made the semifinal stage by upsetting top seeded Aditya Joshi of AirIndia19-21, 21-16, 21-18. However, he lost to Srivans of Chattishgarh in semifinal and had to settle for the bronze.

Another upcoming badminton player of the state, Jokom Ribya made his exit in pre-quarter finals of singles and doubles in U-17 and U-19 events respectively.
